DC Cupcakes!!

The Patterson's weekend was filled with family, fun, new beginnings and CUPCAKES!  I saw the commercial for TLC's new show, DC Cupcakes, that features the hottest new bakery in Washington, D.C., Georgetown Cupcake.  So my one request was to go to the hip new bakery and taste some cupcakes!!  They are located in downtown Georgetown and recently opened a secondary shop in Bethesda, MD.

We arrived in Georgetown at 11am on Saturday morning and saw this:

As much as I love cupcakes and baked goods, I was not about to wait (or make my husband wait...you gotta pick and choose your battles ladies!) in that line so I took my picture in front of the store and we headed out to Potomac, MD to visit my side of the family.  Oh, and make a quick stop in Bethesda before heading home, for another shot at some Georgetown Cupcakes!!

In line again at the Bethesda location.  As you can see, I'm only the 10th person in line!  I just love the colors, design, packaging and of course display of the delectables!

We decided to go with the half dozen.  How can you choose just one flavor??  

Our selection consisted of (From top left): Red Velvet, Key Lime, Coconut, Chocolate & Vanilla, Milk Chocolate Birthday, and Strawberry.

So far, Strawberry and Coconut are our favorite flavors.  I'm saving the Red Velvet for tonight's tasting!!  The red coloring would be PERFECT for our Redskin's Football party we'll be throwing soon!!  More details to come on that later, gators.
