The French Macaron.
Not to be confused with the Macaroon, (a chewy mound of coconut goodness) the macaron (mah-kæ-rhon) is a sweet confectionary made with a mixture of egg whites, sugar, ground almonds and food coloring. The petite delectable is commonly filled with delicious buttercream or jam filling and sandwiched between two cookies. This fragile little dessert is quickly becoming one of the hottest sweet treats for weddings, showers and birthdays.
Oh, so sweet.
Oh, so sweet.

Be Sweet!
